First Electric Cooperative $20,000 Check Benefits Students
December 15, 2016
The Cabot School District received an early holiday present. David Copeland with First Electric Cooperative presented Superintendent Dr. Tony Thurman with a capital credit refund check in the amount of $19,576.59.
First Electric Cooperative has a great partnership with the district. They are very involved in our schools teaching students about safety and they also work with our staff. They are also a service-driven electric provider and return any profits to members. Revenue collected that is not needed to cover the cost of providing service is assigned back to members based on the amount of electricity used during the year.
First Electric has now refunded more than $86.6 million dollars to their members. The money from the refund check will go back into the district's operation funds and benefit our students.

Thank you First Electric Cooperative!
