CMSS & CMSN Out of this World Experience: Space Camp Photos 2017
June 1, 2017

Hundreds of Cabot Middle School students returned to Earth from an out of this world experience.
Back in April and May, students from both Cabot Middle School South and Cabot Middle School North attended Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama.
Space Camp is the ultimate experience where students work as a team and confront mission scenarios that require dynamic problem solving and critical thinking skills. Not only do they have to work together in order to be successful during their time at camp, but they also have to challenge themselves by stepping out of their comfort zone as they learn to explore their own curiosity about our universe.
During the weekend, campers learn about space hardware and the history and future of space exploration. Students participate in a wide variety of activities such as the following:
-
Train like an astronaut on the 1/6 Gravity Chair, the Five Degrees of Freedom Simulator, and the Multi-Axis Trainer.
-
Students also construct and launch a rocket while at Space Camp.
-
Trainees even get to participate in a mock mission while in Huntsville.
Welcome back to Earth campers!
