August 8, 2017
Hundreds packed the CHS Auditorium Tuesday for the district “Back to School” meeting. Teachers, faculty, and staff gathered to get ready for a new school year.
Assistant Superintendent Dr. Tammy Tucker addressed teachers along with Cabot School Board President Ricky Hill.
Superintendent Dr. Tony Thurman welcomed several guests on stage including Mayor Bill Cypert, Travis Young with Cabot Parks and Recreation, Renee Johnson with the Classroom Teachers Association, Wynonne Dwiggins with the Wade Knox Child Advocacy Center, Dr. Allison Clark with the Arkansas State Teachers Association, Chad Young with the Cabot Panther Foundation, and Kim Usery with the Cabot Scholarship Foundation. Several school board members and those running for school board were also in attendance.

Dr. Thurman also addressed teachers about the upcoming school year and shared his goals, expectations, and encouraged educators as they headed back to the classroom.
The meeting ended with a Readers Theatre performed by many of our district directors.

It was a great back to school meeting and we look forward to a great year. We can't wait to see students back, Monday, August 14th!
