Cabot Archery Teams Qualify for Nationals
March 6, 2018
At the Arkansas National Archery in the Schools Program (ANASP) State Tournament, several of our Cabot archery teams qualified to compete at nationals.
At the high school level, the Cabot High School Archery Team placed 11th out of 32 teams, with a score of 3231 out of 3600. Only 58 points separated them from 3rd place and 82 points from 1st place. Their scores qualified them for nationals.
At the 2018 Middle School State Archery Tournament, CJHS shot a 3058 and CJHN shot a 3050 to finish 13th and 14th respectively out of 42 teams. Their scores also qualified them for the National Tournament in May. The teams will find out April 11th if they get to participate in the tournament.
This means the Cabot Archery Program could have up to three teams representing four schools, competing in the NASP National tournament at Louisville, Kentucky in May. The program will be raising money to help cover the expenses of the trip through its annual Spaghetti Supper (TBA), and having booths at the Cabot Strawberry Festival, April 21st.
*CFA did not qualifty as a team for state, however, several CFA students will have the opportunity to possibly compete at nationals with the CHS team.
