Proposed CHS Certified Nursing Assistant Course
June 7, 2018

Cabot High School is excited to announce plans to offer a new proposed course.
CHS is partnering with several of the state's largest in-home care agencies and is in the planning stages to offer a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course and certification opportunity as part of our CHS course line up for the 2018-19 school year.
However, in order to offer the CNA course, we must have ample support and interest in enrollment.
The proposed CNA course will be a semester offering and will only be two periods during the day, so space is limited. It will be offered in both the fall as well as the spring semester. You do not need to be part of the medical academy to enroll in this course. Any student who will be 17 years old by the end of the school year may request to take the course.
Typically, a CNA course and assessment costs over $700, however, the CHS course will be offered at no charge to the student and upon successful completion of the course, the fee for the state exam may be covered by a scholarship as well.
Again, in order to offer this CNA course, CHS must have ample support and interest in enrollment. If you are interested in adding this course to your schedule, complete the following survey: (Valid student email account is required to access survey)
If you have questions, please, contact Nicole Gatewood at nicole.gatewood@cps.k12.ar.us or call the CHS office and dial ext.1109.
Once CHS has compiled a list of students who show an interest in the course, CHS will schedule a parent/student info meeting and discuss the details and expectations for the course.
