September School Board Recognition & Report To The Public 2018

September 24, 2018

Cabot Country Cruisers

An amazing Cabot running group has delivered a wonderful gift to our students and the district. The Cabot Country Cruisers promotes a healthy lifestyle through running, walking, cycling, and swimming. Since 1996, they've hosted the “Spring Fling 5K.”

At the September school board meeting, President Robert Harrell, Vice President Keith Knight, Treasurer Cindy Yancey, along with members Susan Cormier, and Courtney Shepard presented a $4,000 check to Dr. Tony Thurman. Physical Education teacher Jamie Oiker says the donation will be used to purchase equipment and curriculum for our P.E. programs.

We are grateful for the partnership the district has with the Cabot Country Cruisers. To learn more about the group, click HERE

Their upcoming Inspiration Run will be held Friday, October 26, where they promote fitness by running and biking 26 miles and visiting 14 Cabot schools along the way.

Report to the Public

Before the Cabot School Board meeting, Dr. Thurman presented the 2018 Report to the Public. Click HERE to view the report. A budget committee meeting was also held.
