Six Cabot Schools Receive $270,250 in Reward Funds
November 8, 2019

The Cabot School District is extremely proud of our students, teachers, and staff for being awarded $270,250 in Recognition Program Funds from the Arkansas Department of Education.
These schools include Eastside Elementary, Cabot Junior High North, Magness Creek Elementary, Stagecoach Elementary, Westside Elementary, and Ward Central Elementary.
The Arkansas School Recognition Program provides awards to the top 10 percent of schools that achieve high student performance on the state-required assessments in grades three through 10. Awards are also given to the top 10 percent of public schools that achieve high student academic growth, which includes high school graduation rates where applicable. These awards are based on assessment results from the 2018-2019 school year and graduation rates from the 2017-2018 school year.
We applaud our students and schools for this great achievement. This is a true testament to their hard work and dedication. The key to this success is the amazing educators we have in our classrooms leading our students to be their best.
A committee will be established to determine how to use the funds. In previous years, the district has focused on purchasing additional technology, educational equipment, and materials.
Congratulations again to the following schools:
