Some Central Elementary school teachers were in for quite a surprise Tuesday. They thought they were attending a meeting. Instead, they walked away with rewards.
The Walmart Supercenter in Cabot provided $1,000 in gift cards to teachers. Twenty teachers each received $50 gift cards as part of Walmart's Teacher Rewards program. Randall Nichols, store manager of the Walmart Supercenter in Cabot says, "It feels great to do this. They spend a lot of their own money and it feels good to give back."
Superintendent Dr. Tony Thurman says, "Walmart is very generous and loves to reward teachers. We look forward to this every year."
Last year, Walmart in Cabot provided gift cards to teachers at Northside Elementary.
