Evaluation (ADE Standard 10.0)

The Cabot Public School District's program for gifted students adheres to the Gifted and Talented Rules and Regulations: Program Approval Standards set by the Arkansas Department of Education. These standards require that each school use procedures to evaluate the effectiveness of educational opportunities provided for gifted and talented students.
 
Evaluation, as it is applied to the program for the gifted, involves both a determination of the program’s effectiveness and assessment of student growth. The purpose is to provide accurate, timely, and relevant information to decision-makers for improving program options offered gifted students.
