Be A Hallway Hero!
August 29, 2016

The Cabot School District is looking for parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and family members of students who would like to Be A Hallway Hero.
Grandparents like Mr. Bill and Mr. Rich are wonderful examples of Hallway Heroes. Mr. Rich is a Hallway Hero at Central Elementary. His grandson is now in middle school but that didn't stop him from continuing to volunteer at Central. Mr. Rich opens car doors in the morning, he also works in the activity room helping teachers, and during Christmas he's the conductor of the Polar Express! In the hallways you can often hear students say, "I love you Mr. Rich."
Mr. Bill is also a shining example of a Hallway Hero. He's also a grandparent and his grandson has since moved on to middle school but he continues to volunteer at Mountain Springs Elementary. He says the students make him feel young and being a Hallway Hero is worth more than gold. He walks the halls and takes time to help any student or teacher he can. When Mr. Bill joins the kids for recess, it's not uncommon for them to immediately stop playing and race to get a hug from Mr. Bill!
