The Great Kindness Challenge 2017
January 23, 2017
Cabot elementary and middle schools are participating in the Great Kindness Challenge January 23-27.
This is a national program that was created by Kids for Peace to provide schools a tool for creating a positive school environment.
The Great Kindness Challenge is a week dedicated to performing millions of acts of kindness on school campuses. It started in 2012 with three piloted schools. Last year, more than five million students from more than 8,000 schools in 61 countries participated and performed over 250 million acts of kindness across the globe.
Elementary and middle schools across the Cabot School District have several kindness activities planned each day this week to help make this world a kinder place! Many schools are also hosting Spirit Days for our students. Students are invited to wear something different each day to show their committment to being a kind kid. For example, "Round Up Kindness," where students dress as kind cowboys and cowgirls.
Students are also receiving a set of Kindness Challenges to complete this week. For example: compliment five people, invite a new friend to play, or thank someone who has helped them.
