Cabot Students To Participate In Dance for Kindness Event
November 2, 2018
Cabot elementary students have been moving and grooving preparing to take part in the “Dance for Kindness.” “Dance for Kindness” is a worldwide event focused on the power of kindness to unite everyone despite differences in race, religion, ethnicity, culture, and background.
To kick off World Kindness Week, every year Life Vest Inside organizes “Dance for Kindness,” in which groups across the globe join together to perform a Kindness FreezeMob/FlashMob to the same song, same dance, all on the same day.
Cabot will be the first city in Arkansas to be part of this worldwide dance. Elementary students are learning the dance as part of their PE curriculum and are invited to come together on Sunday, November 11th, at 2:00 p.m. at Panther Stadium to perform the Dance for Kindness with the rest of the world to kick off World Kindness Week! Over 400 students have signed up to participate.

Mrs. Becki Warren, a pre-k teacher at Magness Creek, is organizing this event. Ten years ago she lost her son to suicide. She and her husband wanted to do something positive so they started with random acts of kindness and it eventually led to bringing "Dance for Kindness" to Cabot. Mrs. Warren hopes that everyone will learn that one act of kindness can have a ripple effect, and that one person can make a difference.
