January is Arkansas School Board Member Recognition Month. Several talented students were also recognized at the board meeting.

School Board Recognition Month

The Arkansas State Board of Education approved a resolution proclaiming January as Arkansas School Board Member Recognition Month. The month-long observance is an opportunity for the Cabot School District and community to build a stronger understanding of the crucial role school boards play.

The Cabot School Board consists of seven outstanding community leaders. Cabot Public Schools is proud to recognize our Cabot School Board Members.

Hometown Health Poster Contest Winners

Several talented artists were honored at the January School Board meeting.

Nine Cabot elementary and middle school students were recognized for winning the Lonoke County Hometown Health Coalition's Healthy Community Poster contest. The theme was to draw a Healthy Tobacco Free Community.

About 400 students entered the contest and nine of our amazingly talented elementary students won! Each student was recently surprised at school and they received a gym bag full of goodies including art supplies!
