Charlotte's Web Comes To Life At Stagecoach Elementary
October 21, 2014

It's a program designed to get the entire school, students, families and teachers reading the same book. It's called One School, One Book and students at Stagecoach Elementary kicked off the program with a few friends.
Wilbur and Goose from Charlotte's Web brought the farm to the school. Students had the opportunity to choose their very own Charlotte's Web book from feeding troughs and they got to pet and hold Wilbur and Goose on the way back to class. Everyone, including adults had a blast!
Stagecoach Elementary chose Charlotte's Web because it's a book that can be enjoyed and understood by all. It's a classic and even if you haven't read it, more than likely you've seen the movie. The goal is to get families reading and enjoying it together.
As part of the program, a book is chosen for students and families to read over the course of a few weeks. Teachers and students will talk about the book at school and engage in activities that correlate well with the book. The number one goal is to get kids to read.
Stagecoach Elementary will wrap up Charlotte's Web at the yearly Stagecoach Hoe-Down. It's held every November and includes a fun-filled night of games and food.
